Human Growth Hormone for Kids

It takes 6 injections per week, at a cost ranging between 20,000 dollars to 40,000 dollars per annum. However, some side effects are known to occur. These are: a risk for diabetes, bone growth near the hip region, and enlargement of the breasts. The research work done at Eli Lilly laboratories, involving 300 kids, shows that the GH therapy could add about 1.5 inches height with 3 injections per week, to the ISS kid’s final adult height. It has also been shown that the therapy can add up to three inches height by taking six injections per week.
A normal kid will demonstrate a growth in the height, about two inches per year. If the kid has GHD he will grow normally till he reaches two to three years of age.
